Terms of Service
Last updated 12 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sorbe for use of our website and product. By using either, you agree to them.
1. The agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are entered into between [Sorbe legal entity name] (“Sorbe”, “we”) and the individual or organisation using the service (“you”). If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. The service
Sorbe provides data-loss prevention for AI — inspecting content in the browser, on the desktop, and on the network, and enforcing the policies you configure. We may improve, change, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect you.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for the accounts you create, for keeping credentials secure, and for activity under them. You must give accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend access we reasonably believe is unauthorised or unsafe.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. Do not use the service unlawfully, to infringe others’ rights, or to compromise its security.
5. Your content and data
You retain all rights in the content you and your users process through the service. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Fees
Paid plans are billed as described at purchase. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated. Except where required by law or expressly agreed, fees are non-refundable. [Confirm billing, renewal, and refund terms before launch.]
7. Intellectual property
The service, and all software, content, and trademarks in it, belong to Sorbe or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they transfer no ownership.
8. Confidentiality
Each party may receive information the other treats as confidential. The receiving party will protect it with reasonable care and use it only to perform under these Terms.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. No security control is perfect; Sorbe reduces risk, it does not guarantee that no data will ever leave.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and each party’s total liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Confirm caps and carve-outs with counsel.]
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify Sorbe against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the service. Either party may terminate for material breach not cured within a reasonable period. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], and the courts of [venue] have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory local rights.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where required, notified to you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
